Services Academy provides a military-style education for students who would like an alternative style of learning.

At James Cook High School Services Academy, the students are involved in academic study, outdoor education, physical fitness, goal setting, leadership and life skills. 

Our students at James Cook High School have, year on year, seen their motivation, academic achievement, demeanour and physical fitness improved by being part of the Academy. 

This program is delivered at NCEA Level 2 and is open to any current year 11 and 12 students who wish to apply. The application process happens in term 3 for students wishing to be part of the program in the following year.
