Thank you Trillian Trust Limited

James Cook High School extends our heartfelt thanks to Trillian Trust Limited for their generous financial support to assist our Puutake Te Wāhanga Māori Kapa Haka Roopu participate in the 2024 New Zealand Secondary School Kapa Haka Nationals held in Nelson in June 2024.

Your generous contribution alleviated a significant portion of the financial burden associated with accommodation, van, and chiller truck rentals, enabling 44 students to participate in this prestigious event from 22nd to 28th June 2024 in Nelson.

Beyond the immediate benefits of cultural enrichment and performance, participation in the Kapa Haka Nationals offers our students a myriad of developmental advantages. From enhanced language and communication skills to bolstered confidence, self-esteem, and leadership abilities, the impact extends far beyond the competition itself. Moreover, the invaluable experiences gained during this event will resonate throughout their lives, shaping them into confident, connected, and actively engaged members of society.

Congratulations to our Puutake Te Wāhanga Māori Kapa Haka Roopu who gave of their best and performed at such a high level.

A big mihi to all our performers, Puutake Te Wāhanga Māori staff, parents and supporters, especially Trillian Trust Limited, for making these fantastic cultural opportunities possible. 👏👏
