James Cook High School is a diverse and vibrant learning community committed to doing the very best for our students who come from the multicultural diversity of Manurewa and the surrounding area.
Our student roll is predicted to grow to 1600 students in 2022. Our students continue to achieve sustained improvements across a wide range of metrics, including improved learning, engagement and overall achievement.
We are looking for a SENCO to work with a range of students with identified learning needs within our high school, including some ORS students. Communicating actively with families, developing partnerships with external agencies and working with teachers and teacher aides to adapt all areas of the curriculum are some of the key features of the position.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong knowledge of diverse learning needs, an ability to work collaboratively, and actively participate in bi-cultural Aotearoa/New Zealand.
