Year 9/Year 10 Health and Physical Education students:

  1. Many of you would have received a workbook that covers 4 weeks’ worth of tasks to complete.  There is a total of 12 tasks and you can choose 3 tasks to complete per week.  This rubric is the same as is in the workbooklet sent home before Level 4 lockdown:
  2. If you have not received these booklets please refer to our ISO JUNIOR HPE powerpoint slides.  Each slide has a series of Health and PE related activities that students can work through at their own pace with or without electronic devices.  The aim is to complete 1 slide per day.  This has a specific focus on movement, physical activity, mindfulness, creativity and Hauora.
  3. Please click on the link from ATTITUDE –  This organisation are dedicated to equipping teenagers with the information and skills they need to negotiate the adolescent years and build meaningful lives.  James Cook High School has a strong working relationship with this organisation and are often talking with rangatahi about a variety of life and health related topics throughout the year.  This topic focuses on ‘getting along with your family” in an informative and entertaining way.

This is the second Youtube link from the group Attitude.  This weeks’ video talks about how students can LOOK AFTER THEIR HAUORA.  This clip focuses on 2 dimensions of Hauora including Taha Tinana – Physical Wellbeing and Taha Wairua – Spiritual Wellbeing.  This could be an opportunity for students to watch and discuss how these aspects of our wellbeing might look like in their bubble.
